HOME THOUGHTS

I’ve done my talk all over the place (from Kirkcaldy to Canterbury, from Carlisle to Cardiff, from Dublin to Guernsey) but never in my home town of Whitley Bay – until last week (Wednesday October 14th) at the brand new library. It was great to see friends and family there. A couple of school pals I’d not seen since….well, for a long time! But best of all was seeing Mr Turnbull my amazing drama teacher. He told me that he never forgot my ‘enthusiasm’ for acting when I was a schoolboy. And he added: ‘I am glad to see that enthusiasm is there still”. So touching. A great crowd had turned up too. It was like an audiobook version of This is your Life!!!!
